Get to Know Your 2026 CLRRA Board Candidates

Soon CLRRA property owners will choose two Directors to help shape the future of our community. Serving on the Board is a chance to share your perspective, support thoughtful decisions, and make a lasting impact on our community.


Meet all five candidates! Learn about their experience and read their brief statements about why they’re running.


Ballots will be mailed the week of March 23rd and must be dropped at the Basecamp office or submitted by mail so they are received no later than Friday, April 24, to be counted.

Patrice Diem

Patrice Diem previously served on the CLRRA Board of Directors (2021–2025) as Secretary, and stepped into the role of Interim General Manager from January through May 2025. She holds a Board Leadership Certificate from the Community Association Institute and has completed extensive training in HOA governance. Patrice also brings decades of leadership experience in Colorado public education and community organizations, with a focus on policy, collaboration, and long-term planning.

Bryon McAvoy

Bryon brings 40 years of business leadership and board experience to CLRRA, having rebuilt struggling companies, founded his own businesses, and served on multiple nonprofit and for-profit boards. A current member of several CLRRA committees, he is focused on governance, oversight, and practical solutions for issues like slash piles and Fishing Board management. Bryon’s results-oriented approach aims to guide CLRRA through steady, positive progress over the next decade.

Cheryl Poage

Cheryl is a former CLRRA Board member (2012–2024) and brings decades of public service and leadership experience, including over 40 years with Parker Fire/South Metro Fire Rescue, municipal governance, and nonprofit work. She is committed to supporting volunteers, improving wildfire mitigation, maintaining infrastructure, and ensuring CLRRA adapts responsibly to community growth. Cheryl’s goal is to leverage her experience to protect property values and the quality of life for all Crystal Lakes residents.

Randall Roberts

Randall brings extensive experience in business, finance, and community management, including leadership roles with Fortune 500 companies and local HOA boards. A retired professional with a strong background in infrastructure oversight, financial planning, and fire mitigation, he is committed to steady, solution-oriented leadership that protects property values, supports the community, and ensures transparent, professional governance. Randall’s goal is to help CLRRA continue to thrive as a safe, well-managed, and collaborative mountain community.

Kris Whitcomb

Kris brings more than three decades of experience in real estate, property management, business ownership, and education administration. A longtime property owner and full-time resident, she is committed to responsible financial stewardship, clear communication, and collaborative, long-term decision-making to protect CLRRA’s infrastructure, community trust, and quality of life. Kris’s goal is to contribute steady, professional leadership that serves all Crystal Lakes property owners.
