Call for Board of Directors Candidates
This spring, property owners of the Crystal Lakes Road & Recreation Association (CLRRA) will elect two (2) Board Directors.
Both positions are for the standard three-year term.
In accordance with CLRRA Bylaws Section 4.12, “the candidates receiving the largest number of votes shall be elected.”
Director Qualifications
To be eligible to serve as a Director, a candidate must:
- Be a CLRRA property owner
- Be current in the payment of all assessments
- Be otherwise in good standing with the Association

How to Apply
Property owners interested in serving CLRRA as a Board Director should:
- Send an email to office3@crystal-lakes.org requesting to have their name placed on the ballot
- Attach a brief resume outlining relevant background, experience, or skills
- Include a photo if desired (encouraged, but not required)

Board Member Responsibilities
Serving on the Board of Directors is a position of trust and responsibility. Directors are expected to act ethically, transparently, and in the best interests of the Association as a whole.
Fiduciary Duty
Board members have a fiduciary duty to the association, meaning they must act with:
- Care – making informed decisions, asking questions, and exercising reasonable judgment
- Loyalty – placing the interests of the association above personal interests
- Obedience – ensuring the association operates in compliance with governing documents and applicable laws
General Responsibilities
Board Directors are responsible for:
- Always acting in the best interests of the Association
- Being responsive to the needs and concerns of property owners
- Maintaining familiarity with governing documents, policies, and procedures
- Establishing, interpreting, and enforcing governing documents fairly and uniformly
- Setting policies, standards, procedures, programs, and budgets
- Delegating duties appropriately to management, contractors, and committees
- Directing the care, maintenance, and enhancement of common areas, facilities, and association property
- Overseeing community finances, including budgeting and the development and maintenance of reserve funds
